Lamonte, a 10 year old in our Y.E.S. summer program, lives in J.C. Napier housing projects. He said: "I don't like where I live. I'm scared when I go outside. I always put my windows down when I'm trying to go to sleep so I don't hear the gunshots. Camp lets me be in a safe place."

The Inner City children live in an environment that many of us can't even imagine. Camp helps children like Lamonte escape from the negative activity they face in their neighborhood every day.
